How built-in wardrobes are priced in Malaysia
Custom wardrobes are priced per foot of width, and the rate depends on the height (taller wardrobes use more material and labour per foot of width). You multiply the width in feet by the rate for your height.
Built-in wardrobe price per foot (2026 floor rates by height)
| Wardrobe height | Price per foot of width (from) |
|---|---|
| 5 ft | RM620 / ft |
| 6 ft | RM720 / ft |
| 7 ft | RM820 / ft |
| 7.5 to 8 ft | RM850 / ft |
| 9 ft (full height to ceiling) | RM950 / ft |
| Each foot above 9 ft | + ~10% (10 ft ≈ RM1,045 / ft) |
Worked example: an 8-foot-wide full-height wardrobe
An 8-foot-wide wardrobe built full height to a 9-foot ceiling: 8 ft × RM950 = RM7,600 as a starting (floor) price, with most builds landing in the RM7,600 to RM10,600 range depending on doors, internal fittings and finishes. Delivery and professional installation are included.
